Sectors

Built for the industries that can’t afford to lose signal.

From dispatch-heavy security teams to hotels covering every corridor, PlusPTT adapts its coverage, grouping and tracking to the way each industry actually works.

Security

Flexible grouping, real-time positioning and remote management of terminals and personnel are critical for security teams. Smart PoC terminals bring the full benefit of digital, broadband technology to GIS-based, visualized dispatch — with new features added as customer needs evolve.

In practice, that means a control room that can see every guard on the map in real time, pull them into a temporary talkgroup for an incident, and geofence a perimeter so a breach triggers an alarm automatically. A one-touch SOS button gets a panicked guard straight through to the dispatcher — and every call is logged for later review.

Logistics

Logistics operators track, direct and manage entire teams from a single platform. Clear communication and visualized dispatch make it possible to run operations across a wide area, while PlusPTT pinpoints courier locations, delivers delivery-status updates, and keeps moving staff and vehicles secure.

A warehouse can run its own channel while drivers run theirs, with a dispatcher able to jump between both. Battery and connection status for every handheld is visible from the console, so a device going dark is caught immediately — not after a missed delivery window.

Transportation

PlusPTT uses the wide coverage of 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE to solve the limited-coverage problems of traditional analog radio on highways and railways, and the poor interconnection between different hardware and software systems — enabling communication without blind spots. For highway, rail and airline operators, it combines PTT dispatch, instant user information and location tracking with GIS and vehicle management.

Where an operator still runs analog or DMR radio at stations or depots, the DRG-102 gateway bridges that existing infrastructure into the same PlusPTT network instead of forcing a full hardware replacement — so legacy and PoC devices can be dispatched from the same console.

Accommodation

By using both GSM and a facility’s own WiFi infrastructure as efficiently as possible — with no radio repeater required — PoC delivers cost-effective communication with better sound quality at every point of a hotel or campsite.

Housekeeping, front desk, maintenance and security can each run their own group while still being reachable for a property-wide announcement. Because it rides on WiFi and GSM, coverage reaches basements, parking structures and grounds that a single analog repeater often can’t.
